I think I was going on 23, but I might have had more opportunities by starting sooner, like 19.

Well, at least there's no damage done, I think.

I'm not sure that I ever dated anyone. When I hear that word I think of Happy Days, with a boy asking out a girl on a "date" to a movie or whatever.

I started seeing my first gf at 18. At the time I thought it was way too late. I had kissed a girl and done some hand-holding and whatnot earlier, but none of that was really steady. When I was in elementary school I always thought I'd start "dating" someone pretty much once in highschool. That didn't happen the way I pictured at all.

I was a very horny elementary school student and daydreamed about running through a field and falling down with a girl I had a crush on and having sex right there. I don't think anyone actually knew that about me though.

"Dating" is still a weird concept to me. It seems too contrived. I've much prefered just falling for someone and what happens, happens. Movies and dinners can be good, but there's more to life than making those kinds of official "dates". Hanging out is fun, going for a drive, going to some group event, anything really.

I was aloud to start at 16. However I was 17 before I got up enough nerve to ask my parents if I could go on a real date. I think that that's about the average age, and it probably was the right age.

My first boyfriend was when I was 12 and we were together for 2 years. I guess I thought it was a little TOO soon, but it did work out really well for a long time, I guess it just depends on if you think you're mature enough for a relationship!

I started dating around 14-15 years old I reckon. I suppose I think it was about right. Though looking back I still see myself as a kid at that age.

14, and it was a good age because it wasn't serious. I think dating in the early teens is fine as long as it isn't a serious thing. It should be about movies and hanging out then, not sex and romance (which should definitely wait for a few years).

My first date was my 6th grade dance, and I was 11. It was terribly awkward the entire time. I didn't date anybody else until I was 14 or 15, and it turned out pretty well then.
