how do i find out.... i dont want to ask him and have him say hes taken becuase then it would be really awkward if he knows im interested but what if he is thinking the same thing about me and hes not sure how to ask if i am single?

Have a friend do it for you, and strike up a conversation and ask him if he's married.
I'm a single parent, but most people "assume" I'm married because I have a kid,,the only way to find out is ask him. The worst he can say that he's taken.

i think it would be in your best intreset to just ask.it would be easier than finding out after you guys get involved with each other. make life simple he'll know your interested but it wont brake your heart like finding out once you guys start talking.

Ask him to a Sunday get together with a fiew workmates ( Open BBQ ) etc. and see if he turns up with a partner.
