In recent years has science discovered that everything we see is composed of invisible atoms. Bible tells us that the "things which are seen were not made of things which do appear."

Science has only recently discovered that blood-clotting in a newborn reaches its peak on the eighth day, then drops. The Bible says that a baby must be circumcised on the eighth day.

It was believed that the earth sat on a large animal or a giant (1500 B.C.), the Bible spoke of the earth’s free float in space: "He...hangs the earth upon nothing" (Job 26:7).

Isaiah said that the earth is round: "It is he that sits upon the circle of the earth" (Isaiah 40:22). This is not a reference to a flat disk, but to a sphere. Man discovered this 2,400 years later.

Solomon described a cycle of air currents 2000 yrs ago b/f scientists discovered them. The wind goes toward the south, and turns about unto the north; it whirls about continually, and the wind returns again according to his circuits Eccl.1:6

What bitterness and tripe, wow. So you criticize Christians for believing what the Bible says, so actually disprove it. You think you are intellectually superior because you refute it, with what? So what if a book is written in ancient times, this makes it unbelievable? If that theory is true, then would all ancient books be bunk, too? I didn't read one response that was actually intelligent, just gripy bitterness and criticism of someone's else beliefs.

What you're doing is sort of like finding "truth" in a horoscope.

Not to mention that many of the customs of the Jews were based in observable reality. Their scriptures prohibit eating pork because eating pork increased the odds of getting food poisoning. After cutting of the tips of a few hundred thousand tally-whackers, I would imagine that someone would have noticed certain time frames that yielded better results. What does this prove about God?

1) Your quote doesn't really make much sense.
2) Trial and error will tell you lots of things - like when a baby will bleed to death from an unnecessary, horrific experience.
3) Yeah, I think people had noticed the lack of big hooks in the sky. Good for them.
4) Circle is flat. Sphere is round. So they were talking about a circle. Several references were made to confirm this.
5) Wow. They guessed right.

So where was the stuff about DNA? How about a cure for cancer? Oh wait, that's right, you can only find this stuff AFTER it's discovered. After we find the cure for cancer, it will turn out the bible predicted it all along, right? Too bad it's not useful before the fact.

Blood-clotting in newborns is under-developed and that is why they receive Vitamin K injections.
Since man began to trade with far-off cultures, he has been tracing air currents, this is in no way prophetic, just early science mixed with superstition.
The Bible also says the world has four corners, I guess you get to pick and choose what you read. Many other cultures talked of the earth free-floating as they had seen other planets do so.
Humans are naturally scientists, and religion has been part of the explanation for what we cannot yet explain, some very wise men have had theories on natural phenomena. This early science is not prophetic or proof of anything except perhaps that the Bible was written much later than its believers might think.

Actually, Pythagoras said the Earth was a sphere well before that, and Aristotle's pupil Eratosthenes estimated the circumference of the planet within 2 percent of the actual distance.

The Bible also says the value of pi is 3.0 (1Kings7:23) that a bat is a type of bird (fowl; Lev 11:13-19), etc., etc., etc. They must have had some things right to survive at all, but their god was not one of those correct beliefs.

Guptans knew about how the world was round and concepts of gravity in about 600B.C.

Many of the verses you gave are ambiguious and there are more mistakes in the Bible. For example, the Bible states that the circumference of a circle to it's diameter is 3, while Sumeritans have calculated it to about 5 decimals 1000 years before Christ.

i'd particularly be able to talk all languages. each language includes a shift truthfully, or how that's perceived. that's exciting. with the flexibility to consult animals may also open similar superb shifts in concept, yet because of personality of animal intelligence i do not imagine we may be able to debate it. So i am going to settle for body language with animals - that's the bottom of all communique, in spite of everything. yet like my Dad, I reckon the exciting is in the communicate, even more beneficial than the proposition.

Those are some very interesting interpretations of bible writings. Hardly what was meant at the time I'm sure but so easy to intersect current knowledge into vague writings. It still no more convincing.

I guess to someone who thinks that 'animals, stars, birth, death, water, air, the sun, love' is scientific language, that website you copied and pasted from is proof that the bible is true.

--I find this amazing reference which you referred to also is startling and a wake up for those that think God is UNSCIENTIFIC, or rather SHOULD BE TO THEM:

--(Isaiah 40:26) “26 “Raise YOUR eyes high up and see. Who has created these things? It is the One who is bringing forth the army of them even by number, all of whom he calls even by name. Due to the abundance of dynamic energy, he also being vigorous in power, not one [of them] is missing.”

--This written some 2500 years ago AND only in recent times had be equated by Einsteins E=mc2!

--The energy of the Almighty God Jehovah is expressed as "abundance in dynamic energy"--And that none of the celestial bodies are causing havac of any kind to the earth, BY "MISSING"--their arranged play in the heavens-

--OR THE FACT that every star is different in color and intensity:

(1 Corinthians 15:40-41) “40 And there are heavenly bodies, and earthly bodies; but the glory of the heavenly bodies is one sort, and that of the earthly bodies is a different sort. 41 The glory of the sun is one sort, and the glory of the moon is another, and the glory of the stars is another; in fact, star differs from star in glory.”

*** g84 9/22 pp. 8-9 Telescopes and Microscopes—Have Their Revelations Undermined or Strengthened Your Faith?

“STAR DIFFERS FROM STAR”

Science textbooks are often no sooner printed than they are out of date, so frequently do new discoveries nullify old convictions. Yet, though written centuries before telescopes and microscopes were even conceived of, the Bible often speaks about scientific subjects with remarkable accuracy.

One instance is at 1 Corinthians 15:41 where the apostle Paul says: “The glory of the sun is one sort, and the glory of the moon is another, and the glory of the stars is another; in fact, star differs from star in glory.”

To the casual observer most stars look alike, except perhaps for their difference in brightness. Astronomers nevertheless say that stars also vary in color, from white, bluish-white, yellow, orange, orange-red to red. Pulsars—believed to be fast-spinning collapsed stars—have a rather unique “glory.” Like clicking turnstiles, they flash radio signals with split-second regularity. The Crab and Vela pulsars even flash visible light. Stars differ greatly in density. They also vary greatly in size. The supergiant Betelgeuse is, according to conservative estimates, more than 250 million miles (400 million km) in diameter! If it stood in the place of our sun, Betelgeuse would engulf the earth and the rest of our solar system clear out to where Mars orbits!......

“STATUTES OF THE HEAVENS”
.......“Can you tie fast the bonds of the Kimah constellation, or can you loosen the very cords of the Kesil constellation?” asked God. “Have you come to know the statutes of the heavens, or could you put its authority in the earth?” (Job 38:31, 33) For centuries, men were unaware that “statutes,” or laws, governed the movements of heavenly bodies. Applying the discoveries of Johannes Kepler, Sir Isaac Newton, Albert Einstein and others, astronomers have come to understand that gravitational forces are the “bonds” holding stellar constellations—such as “Kimah”—together.

Astronomers also say that stars are not stationary, but, rather, as one astronomer puts it, ‘rotate around the center, or nucleus, of the galaxy like a giant merry-go-round.’ Our own sun takes an estimated 200 million years to journey around the Milky Way. The Bible is correct in indicating that stars have orbits."

The earth is round based on that? So you're telling me I should take literally that he's saying the earth is round but not that he is literally sitting on it? It takes only a Christian to turn something clearly poetic to try to justify their delusion.
