Every single guy has a different set of characteristics that they like in a girl. I just asked my brother a second ago. He said he'd like an intelligent girl, preferably shorter than him (easy, he's 6'2"), decent looking, not asking for too much in terms of looks. He likes boobs more than ***, someone curvy, and honest and nice. She should be a soccer fan. That's all, he says. Weird.
Anyway, your best bet is to just be yourself. I'm sure there's guys out there that have the exact opposite ideals for a woman that my brother does. Every man is different. Being yourself will ensure that there is a higher chance of you meeting someone who likes you for you, shares your interests and is compatible with you as opposed to someone superficial or incompatible with you who will leave you as soon as the real you comes through.

Somebody I can carry a good conversation and is down-to-earth and not super crazy acting. I like somebody who can just be themselves and not put on a front, which is hard to find and most importantly of all someone who says something and does it..That means no flakes!

I can't speak for all men, but here's my answers
A woman who doesn't expect attention all the time, 24/7
I'm a single parent and can't give someone 100% of my attention 100% of the time
A woman who takes care of herself and her body
Not obsessed with herself 24/7, but takes care of herself, there is a big difference
A woman who doesn't "expect" doors opened for them all the time, gifts bought, etc, etc, etc.
I will do all of the above for my woman, but when she expects it all the time, she will get dissappointed. I like doing these type things, but on my terms, not on her expectations
A woman who doesn't try to change me after dating awhile
If you liked me enough to start dating me, you better like me while dating me

i believe that how you are is how you deserve for a guy to be, and vise-versa putting that as high standard as possible. You don't smoke cigs he doesn't smoke cigs, You love kids and are decent to them he should be the same, You don't drink he doesn't drink You are shy and so is he. and so on.Try very very much to to keep it as samely as possible Including age.
