I use tea leaf to make tea in a mug at work, because there is no infuser or tea pot, it's hard to drink the tea without getting tea leaves in the mouth. Does anyone have suggestion on how to prevent eating the tea leaves or know any special cup/mug to prevent this happening?

How about making up your own teabags using the brand and type of tea you fancy and a scrap of muslin, or search through some old cutlery at car boot sales, there used to be several things on the market that you filled with tea then plonked into a mug of boiling water, there must be some still hanging around. I remember them being shaped like teapots and/or spoons or spheres, just metal shapes full of holes and usually with a short length of chain as a handle.
I hate tea and can detect the smell of tea on someones breath across a crowded room, it makes my stomach churn, and here I am assisting a tea drinker, I must be mad

Well with being a singer myself, I don't think port would help. I would think it would dry out the vocal cords. Some say Olive Oil, others honey and it just depends on the person. I'm not to sure if the cheese would affect your vocal quality in any ways. But just to make sure: 1. Drink enough water daily (i think that's like eight cups or something) 2. Warm up properly. Not that you already don't know that but ya know, the basics. PS- Cough drops work as well.

Why not just buy an infuser? They're not very expensive.

Also you can use bags of herbal tea, but if you're hooked on your private tea, either get an infuser or perhaps wrap it in a little sacket of cheesecloth and make your own teabag.

I stopped by a health food store and bought some tea balls. They are stainless steel, the top and bottom screw together and it has holes all through it..... works wonderfully for homemade tea..... no leaves or gunk in your tea.
This is a picture of one type of tea ball you can get... mine isn't mesh like this one but it's the same concept:

Let it settle, drink it carefully & throw the last half inch away. No tea bags or strainers when I was a kid. That's the way it was done!

Use a "tea ball" or "tea spoon" same concept as the tea ball but smaller. Find at a kitchen wares store.
