There is this boy that im madly in love with we have been going out for almost a year. I want to get him something to show how much i care. but how?I asked my friend but all she told me was to dump him. what should i do

try to remember something that he wanted, you know, like something thats not materialistic... like if you get him an iPod he'll be like yay, but thats all its ever gonna be is an iPod... no sentimental value, right?
something that shows you remembered him, i dont really have any other suggestions because i dont know him ahahh
