A book that had nothing to do with baby names. The Isis Papers.... The name means the perfect hew. Isis was/is the Egytian Goddess of Nature, I thought it would be cool. So did her mother.

My husband and I could not decide on a girls name, even though we both wanted a girl and found out very quickly we were having one. We made a list of names we liked or at least could live with and Sarah was the ONLY common name on the list! We decided on Marlene for the middle name after her Godmother. Then just days before she was born my grandmother (Who I was VERY close to), died. In the delivery room we decided to name her Sarah ROSE after grandma. Her scrapbook is great, as she has cards from her shower that say Sarah Marlene on them.

we had a boy's name picked out because we were told by the Dr. the baby would be a boy! Then I delivered a girl, we could not agree on a name until I met an English family who moved next door with a daughter named Megan! That was the name we wanted for our daughter!

I chose 3 boy & 3 girls names and husband narrowed it down to 2 of each and I got the final pick.

Traditional but named after no one and no middle name.

They get his last name and don't need a middle name or weird spelling to be special children.

I named my daughter because it was the only name we could agree. My hubby was very hard to comprimise with a name. Kara means Sweet Melody. We learned early on that she can sing, she has a very good voice.Lynn is her middle name. My best friends middle name. We went back and forth on the spelling, the hospital was located on Linn St, so we went back and forth on the spelling and settled on that name. I also liked the spelling Cara, some people pronounce it differently. Very happy with the name we chose for our first born.

My three year old daughter has my middle name and my mom's middle name. Her first name is Madyson and I like the name Madison but wanted to spell it different. I'm 19 weeks pregnant and found out last week we are having a girl. Her middle name is my sister and my great grandmothers and her first name is a name that my three year old liked.
