If i want a phone from a different plan(say i want a phone from cingular but i have sprint)can the phone from cingular work with my sprint plan; or will sprint accept a phone from cingular?

No, Cingular uses GSM technology while Spring uses CDMA. Sprint will not accept a Cingular phone nor will a Cingular phone ever work with Sprint or Vice-versa.

I seriously doubt it. Cingular uses Sim-Cards. I don't believe that Sprint does or not. Meaning that the 2 services are incompatiable. Sorry. However.. TMobile and Cingular would go together. If that's an option for you.

the phone needs to be unlocked then you can use your sim card. I dont think Sprint or ATT (Verizon) uses sim cards
