I'm also vegetarian and I know how easy it is to slip up and go for all the junk.
A healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week. By making some changes, you can achieve just that.
First of all--get rid of the junk food!! No more candies, fast foods, junk foods and sodas!! Replace that food with healthy choices!! Buy items to cook meals with--stay away from frozen/pre-packaged meals. Load up on fruits and veggies!
Drink water!! Water is very important for weight loss!!
Get active!!! Go for a walk, ride a bike, join a gym, play a sport--anything! Just get moving!!

It might help to keep a journal and write down what you eat, when you eat and how many calories in each item. That way you can look and make adjustments as needed.

You can do this!! Make some changes and you'll be on your way to feeling so great!!

Good luck!☺

Calories are calories, veggie or not. Numbers.
To lose a pound per week you must use up 3500 calories per week either by cutting back on calories each day (eating 500 less calories each day) and or exercising the 500 calories away. You cannot exercise and then eat more thinking you have made more room for more calories. No. You have to create a deficit somewhere either by exercising it away by using energy or eating less calories each day. There is no way around this. Try www.fitday.com to count your calories. You will see that you have been eating a lot of calories and probably not exercising. Once you see reality you can change or at least know why nothing changes if you don't change some things. Dance classes, sports, fitness classes. Sign up for as many classes as you can for 5 weeks. Sitting and just standing will not help you lose weight. Drink water with lemon to help your kidneys. You will lose the taste for salt soon. Try protein and veggies first. No juice. Treat fruit like candy...too much might bloat you. Walk around you neighborhood as often as possible. Many little walks of 15 minutes day and night. Your body will start getting use to the walks. You need athletic shoes and at least one good exercise outfit of clothes. If you eat the bad food because it is cheap you will see that cooking at home is cheaper but you must think ahead. Good luck. It is up to you. Good sign that you are asking for advice. It means you really want a result. Do not look for food that "tastes yummy". Feed your body vitamins and all that it needs to be healthy. Your brain wants "yummy" but your body...to look cute and be healthy, needs good plain food and vitamins...not yummy. Yummy food equals plain body...plain food equals yummy body.

Diet is going to be 80% The most important thing. . You never want to stuff yourself but you also dont want to go hungry either. The more you feed your body the more fat you will burn because it is speeding up your metabolism.
Keep up the weight training and runnung on the treadmill. I would suggest after weight training go and do your abs untill failure (30 minutes). This would include lower, middle and upper abs, Including obliques. Run on the days you dont weight train. You can work out your abs 7 days a week.

Losing weight is a simple equation: if you burn more calories than you eat, the weight will come off. Start off by estimating how many calories you burn each day using the calorie calculator http://straighthealth.com/pages/tools/caloriecalclb.html This will give you an idea of how many calories to eat. Healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week. To lose 1 pound per week you need to create a calorie deficit (burn more than you eat) of 500 calories per day. To lose 2 pounds a week, you have to double the deficit to 1000 calories per day. You can achieve this by eating less, exercising more or a combination of both.
