Some people are fine if they only eat a few times a day. If I don't eat very soon after becoming hungry, I get kind of weak and a little shaky. Is this a problem?

How hungry is hungry? Could be general low blood sugar from not eating for a long period of time, could be diabetes, hypoglycemia or anemia.

Also could very likely be thirst. Over 70% of North Americans can not properly distinguish thirst from hunger.

You may be anemic. Try taking iron supplements & see if that helps.
Some good natural sources of iron are dark green leafy vegetables (spinach, collard greens, kale, etc), live, iron fortified whole grains (ceral, bread, rice, pasta), beans (kidney, black, pinto, etc.) nuts, dried fruit and tofu.

It sounds like you might have a problem with your blood sugar. I'd go get checked out at the doctor's.
