A Bible is a great idea, and if she's Catholic I'd suggest the New American Bible or the New Revised Standard Version. If she's Catholic you might think about something like the Catechism of the Catholic Church, or books by Patrick Madrid on defending the faith. A rosary is also a great idea if she doesn't have one. You could also get the CD's from Catholic apologist John Martignoni on defending the faith. (check out www.biblechristiansociety.com for this). Other books that are good ideas are books on the Rosary by St. Louis De Montfort, the Diary of St. Faustina, or biographies of saints (you could find one on a saint with her name or the Christian name she chose). There's also a new book out on Mother Angelica, the founder of the Catholic Radio/TV network EWTN on her "life lessons" with prayers and such that she taught her nuns in the monastery. A crucifix for the home is also a great idea, and I like the Christian music idea too.

A Bible would be nice.
Or maybe a book called My Imitation of Christ. It's a great, daily devotional.
A cross or crucifix to hang on the wall.
If she's Catholic, you could get her a rosary, or a Catechism, or a Missal.

Obvioiusly first choice is a Bible.
Second choice is a book called "Heaven is so Real" by Choo Thomas. It is incredible. It is a true account. It tells of a woman who was taken to Heaven and given a message by God to tell the nations.
Awesome

I think a nice leatherbound bible (King James or New King James) with her name engraved in the cover would be nice. Inside, there is usually a section for dedications in the front which you could fill out.
