The Community Guidelines say.....
6. Harass, threaten, insult, or behave belligerently towards others.
YET, = I read "PUESDO Questions" HERE = = that Slander, Harass, Threaten, Insult AND behave belligerently towards = = THE REAL CHRISTIAN FAITH? ? ?
They are Quised as Questions, are YET IN FACT = = a violation of the Quidelines AND COMMON SENCE? ? ?
WHY ARE THEY PERMITTED? ? ? And PLEASE don't give me that Free Speech..... They are in VIOLATION of the Standards!
IS THERE A DOUBLE STANDARD HERE? ? ?
Thanks, RR

For many here, it is not a violation until it is reported.
The other concern is a difference between a question or answer that is truly insulting and one that someone merely does not like to see posted.
If I relate an unfavorable experience I had with a Christian, is it slanderous, or a story you feel uncomfortable hearing?

You haven't been around here very long.
There's all kinds of harassment and insulting going on in Y!A. So far I've seen all kinds of subjects attacked:
* Christianity
* Blacks
* Liberals
* Conservatives
* Pro-Iraq War advocates
* Anti-Iraq War advocates
* Foreigners in general
* Illegal immigrants
* George W. Bush
* Atheists
* Creationists
* Evolutionists
* Britney Spears
And that barely scratches the surface. I suppose there's just so much of it that it's all they can do to try and keep a lid on attacks on individual Yahoo users.
Is it right? No. But I'm just another inmate in this particular asylum, I don't run it. Besides, I imagine that even if they could get enough people to police every question and answer Y!A would probably become a rather quiet and boring place.
There's all kinds of garbage going on which shouldn't be:
* Kids obviously posting their homework for others to do when they should be doing it themselves
* Folks trying to hawk businesses through question posts
* Trolls and clones who establish multiple ID's to put up and then answer their own questions to game the point system.
The staff does what they can to keep things running straight, but stupidity is one of the most powerful forces in the world, and there's only so much that can be done against it. there's a lot of idiots and a lot of clever people who like to be belligerent and annoying and dealing with all of that isn't easy.
If you think Christianity is being singled out then I suggest you watch a few other categories for a week or two. May I suggest the following categories which seem to have a high goofball factor:
* Science / Biology - for creation/evolution baiting
* Politics & Government / Politics - for liberal/conservative baiting
* Politics & Government / Military - for pro/anti iraq war baiting
* Society & Culture / Cultures & Groups - a magnet for prejudicial comments over race and sexual orientation
Is there stuff that shouldn't be going on? Yes, I agree with you.
Is there a double standard? No, I don't think so. It's just a broad, unfocused breakdown of civility.

Your new here you'll get used to it. Grow thicker skin.
God doesn't call pansies and thin-skinned people into service.
This is not a "Christians" only place and I imagine from what I've read, the sentiments here exist out in your neighborhood, your street, your market...It is a good place to learn how to deal with some real hateful people who disagree with you.
And be treated graciously with wit and intelligence by others who disagree with you.
And soon you will see the Christians who can sound and behave just as hatefully. Do not fall into that trap. There are a lot of Christians who hold their lamps high with the love and peace of Jesus.
Love God, Love your neighbor. Grace and Mercy.

as a matter of fact this question itself is off topic for this discussion board and is as such a violation of the precious community guidelines.
in general the only things that i see that are worth reporting are pornographic avitard. not because i have a problem with pron, this just is not the place for it.
and obvious attempts at trolling.

Christians do the same thing. That's not an excuse but it's a fact. Neither should be doing it, but they do. If it really bothers you, report the behavior and hope for the best.

I hear ya loud and clear, but don't look for it to change anytime soon. Yahoo Answers, is what it is, so ease up on the rant. This after all just a form of entertainment, with a smattering of facts. Don't take it so seriously. If Answers, get you hot around the collar I'd hate to see what rush hour traffic does to you. :)
Peace

Ok, questions that insult the Christian faith would be like "Why is the ****** religion so ******* stupid?" (Not an opinion I hold, just an example.)
Questions like "Why do you believe what you believe?", "Why do you think so many people believe the same thing?", "What are reasons someone would devote themselves to something they can't prove?" etc. are not offensive.
Questioning something isn't wrong. Expressing disagreement isn't wrong.

I think Chr*stians would starve when deprived of their daily dose of persecution.
It happens to everyone here, just look at what people say about Islam or Judaism. It's not just you guys. Yet you don't see us wasting five points on it.

No one is watching the foul language and the slandering that goes on, I always thought that someone from yahoo monitored this. I used to let my children get on yahoo answers but not anymore. If you report abuse then you really get slammed.
