Do Islamic schools in the USA teach students to hate the west and westerners?

I have heard this and I know that many Muslims would angrily deny this. But is it true? Most Americans really don't know what does on inside those schools.

I have read and seen many programs about this. Many of the students in US Islamic schools don't even consider themselves American. They refer to the non-Muslims in the US as "the Americans". I think it is borderline whether they teach hate. They definitely teach that western culture is immoral, sick, and something to be avoided. They also teach self-segregation and avoidance of Americans, which can lead to them hating us.

i got Egypt just about every year to see my family.
And anytime i meet someone new, and when they find out that i am from America they love me.
I swear to you that this is what someone told me when they found out i was from America...(translation from Arabic to English)
"You swear, can you take me with you?"
The middle east loves American culture, music, movies, style, clothes , and TV shows.
My cousins have satellite and watch Oprah and tom cruise movies all the time im over there.
They just don't like the American government.
And hell, why should the middle east like a government that's killing their own people and that's occupying your land.

But either way the answer is no. My friend went to an islamic school all her life and now goes to a christian school and has many american friends. And anyway she is an american, so why does it matter?

I sincerely hope not.

I'm sure that many of their parents do a good job of that. I have known Arab-Moslems who did anything they could to get American citizenship, even tho they hate America.
