Yes I have been on a job which had fibreglass wallcovering throughout. As far as I remember it was just emulsioned in white. It was used to cover irregularities in the plasterwork. No way will it burn!! I expect it will need some heave duty adhesive as it is quite thick and absorbent. I think it came from Sweden or Norway as most of the rest of the house did!

You ever have a fire, you'll be dead in no time. dont use fiberglass on your walls.
