Both-- Atheists can bring up some powerful rational agruments against the existence of gods. And Catholic ritual has a sense of the mystical that can be quite a powerful draw. However, because I CHOOSE to believe in gods against al evidence to the contrary because of my own psychology, and because I am not Christian, neither of them really has done more than enrich my own spiritual experiences by introducing alternate ways of seeking them.

I would say my parents. Atheists don't really do anything for Christians. I mean, how do you say there is no God with out proof and then claim you have no faith in the matter but you just know...??? Catholics are just great for parties. We Mormons never see them.

Catholics! Without a doubt. Atheists just don't believe, but Catholics have been murdering people in the Name of the Lord for centuries. Who do you think God is more angry with?

None I love them both the same. As a Christian I am no better than an Atheist or a Catholic (even Chatholics can be saved if they believe in Jesus).Though I believe I am better off. I have not only believed in Jesus I have experienced him in my life as I have battled cancer and many other other situations. My faith is embedded in the foundation fo the word.

Most religious people would say "neither" since fantasy land is so easily maintained by a denial and demonization of the facts presented by actual verifiable reality.

Given the byzantine nature of Catholicism, I'd say that the more you know about it, the more likely you will be to give up and decide to not believe in any religion.
Just my opinion.

Neither one affects my faith at all.
Catholics are more dangerous to my freedoms, though.

I say extremists of any belief are a danger to us all.
If you consider someone with differing beliefs a DANGER. I think you are the one with the problem.
