I don't respect Jesus or the Xian faith.
I believe that if Jesus was alive he was just a man...and perhaps many men. Jesus was a common name. He was certainly no son of "god"
As for Xianity...it's filled with hate, intolerance, and fear. Nothing to respect there.
I may respect individual Xians (Father K, for instance), but not the religion as a whole.
"God Bless!"
We don't need your blessing from a god we know does not exist. It just comes off as condescending.

Actually No.
I have no respect for any religion of any kind. They have proved themselves worthy of contempt for they are at the heart of why humanity is destroying itself. It's the old:
"My God can beat up your false god, and since you're not worthy of my God's time I'll blast you from the face of the Earth to protect those I love from you."
This childish nonsense is killing us. Faith is the tool of deceivers and those who would be deceived.
Grow up and smell the reality that swims about your delusional head!

The Christian faith isn't worthy of respect at all. It espouses bigotry, intolerance, willful ignorance, and denial of reality. Whether or not Jesus is worthy of respect, unfortunately, is NOT up to you. Whether you like it or not, there will always be a freethinker to critique your faith where criticism and skepticism is due.
The fan club just confirms our suspicions.

You can't make anyone respect anything, you can outline the situation for them and explain, but respect comes personally. This really isn't a question, and like previously outlined comes off as some preemptive propaganda, which only further worsens other people's respect for your faith.

I am not sure how much impact that has on people. I actually think that does more damage to make cliche comments like that more then it would ever help someone. Oh well continue on the cliches and proclaiming in words alone Jesus.

No, I do not respect any Abrahamic faith because all three systems are incoherent drivel.
And I know very little about Yehoshua (if he existed at all) to give respect or disrespect to.

No, I do not respect Jesus any more than I would respect any other dead man of worth and historical interest (though he qualifies on both counts); no, I certainly do not respect the Christian faith, but it shares that with every other faith based on blind belief in the perfect absence of evidence; HOWEVER I have plenty of Christian friends who are good people and THAT is why I respect those people, not presumptive buffoons like... well, you.

How can we respect something that we don't believe?
Most non believers think the Bible is fiction - hence just smoke to most of us.
You won't convert many heathens with your bible talk here.

i will sympathize with you-- and advantageous empathize somewhat. while i replace into youthful I wore my theory on my sleeve somewhat greater (all I did replace into placed on a crucifix necklace, for heaven's sake) and people stored pigeon-holing me. I additionally finf the indignant difficult of the two believers and non-believers in this website extraordinarily distressing. As a believer, i think of people might desire to be greater tolerant and sort, no longer nasty. I anticipate the non-believers to do the comparable. I merely observed somebody project "Christians" to "excuse" the God of the old testomony-- this is... no longer what Christians base their faith on. i be attentive to that there are some believers who attempt to push their faith on others-- and there are some non-believers who do the comparable with their non-theory. the two facets are the two indignant or self-righteous, and enthusiastic concerning the incorrect motives. i'm no longer able to think of life without deity, because of the fact i do no longer desire to. they might't think of one WITH a deity because of the fact they do no longer desire to, or they have been enable down with the help of what they think of God must be doing, or they do merely no longer see a medical foundation for it. everybody to their very own. i be attentive to a pair people think of we'd desire to proseletyze, etc... (i'm advantageous I spelled that faulty), yet for me this is approximately comfortable occasion. genuine atheists don't worry me. I wish they believed in yet differently yet i are not getting on him (my pal) approximately it and take a examine out to transform him and tell him he's going to hell and all that. occasion, occasion, occasion, and in the event that they desire to return this way, fantastic. If no longer, i will save praying (they would not desire me to, besides the fact that if it would not harm them and that i do no longer say "howdy! i'm praying for you, you be attentive to! you are able to desire to work out the mild!"). i think of tolerance on the two facets is what's needed-- no longer this anger and pettiness we see right here. seems such as you and that i might get alongside merely fantastic.
