Good question. The whole thing is actually one big mess. The American people will be paying for Bush's mistakes for years and years to come.
The United Nations charter has a provision which was agreed to by the United States formulated by the United States in fact, after World War II. It says that from now on, no nation can use armed force without the permission of the U.N. Security Council. They can use force in connection with self-defense, but a country can't use force in anticipation of self-defense. Regarding Iraq, the last Security Council resolution essentially said, “Look, send the weapons inspectors out to Iraq, have them come back and tell us what they've found -- then we'll figure it out from there.” The U.S. was impatient, and decided to invade Iraq -- which was all pre-arranged of course. So, the United States went to war, in violation of the charter. Making the war in Iraq an “illegal” war.
Towns all across America are filing impeachment resolutions and lawsuits against the Bush Administration. This is not just about impeachment proceedings. It’s about dragging these people into a very public trial to make them stand for the crimes they have committed.
Here are a couple interesting links...I hope they come up for you....

Because the Saudis have gone and cleaned house on their own.
It appears that you were too busy watching cartoons in the years of 2002-2005 to read all of the news reports of the battles between Al Quaeda and the Saudi police and military.
BTW - Saudi Arabia won and Al Quaeda had their butts kicked.

because Bush wanted Saddam out of power so he came up with the weapons of mass destruction as a reason, Saudi has the oil and Bush has much money vested in Saudi oil so it would not be financially smart for him to start a war their. Afganistain should have been where he started our soldiers are over their fighting a war that should have never started yes we did get some of the very heartless people in power off the streets of iraq that killed for nothing but are soldiers are paying for it. I support them 150% and always will but it is time for us to go and let the iraq police take over. We cant do anymore their then what we are doing now.

The real reason is you read conspiracy blogs instead the Newspaper. Have you heard of Operation Desert Storm? It was in 1991 and and the 2003 invasion of Iraq was a result of Saddam Hussein's DOCUMENTED violations of the 1991 cease fire. The end of the first Gulf war was a cease fire agreement NOT a peace treaty.
Hussein's mistake was he tested a president that was as stupid or crazy as he was.

Because George Sr., King Fuad, and Mr. Bin Laden are all still buddies, and Saudi Arabia gives us military bases that we can agitate the Iranians and Syrians with.

Iraq had nothing to do with 911, Afghanistan however had many terrorist training camps, so that is why we went to Afghanistan. Iraq was a complete set of issues on their own that we had been working for 13 years through the UN.

He said there were weapons of mass destruction there. A Lie.
I was told it had to do with oil and Sadams unwillingness to allow pipelines to go through his country.
I also saw people talking on CSPAN about if all the different groups in Iraq had rights to oil, then the power structure over there would be more level. So I would say it was about oil, and the big oil companies trying to get there hands on it.
