I would have to say that the best city to live in Canada is Vancouver. The 3 best reasons are: 1) the mild climate, it rarely snows here but you have to put up with the rain in the winter. But it's still better than 5 foot snow drifts and wind chill factor of minus twentyfive. 2) it's setting, Vancouver is a harbour city along the Pacific Ocean, blessed with sandy beaches, Gulf Islands, rocky shores, and the coastal Mountain range as a backdrop. Where else can you ski and golf in the same day? 3) Since Vancouver is such a mulit-cultural city, we have a huge variety of many good quality restaurants, cafes and pubs.
Cheers,
Petra M, Vancouver

Kelowna, or Victoria BC. They are much more beautiful than any other cities, and the people (unlike the people in Toronto and Montreal) are actually really friendly.
Usualy people from Toronto and Montreal don't know there are any other cities but theirs in this country, so they make it sound as though they're the only ones. That's why they usually don't understand when other Canadians call them (Center of the Universe).
Fact check. Toronto has more crime, pollution, and terrible sports teams than any other city in the country. But hey, if the Leafs try hard they might actually make the playoffs this year lol.

Well, my preference may not be yours, but ...
Vancouver, B.C. hands down!!
Absolutely gorgeous surroundings, it's nestled between the mountains, and bays/rivers. You can't beat the scenery! It is a large city, but even for all that, it's a wonderful place to live.
There is so much to do here ... water sports, winter sports, Parks, including one of the Largest Urban parks in the world, Museums, an aquarium, good public transportation, and a huge cariety of ethnicities and cultures.
Cost of living is a bit high, but it's better if you don't live right downtown.

What's best for me might not be best for you! I love Toronto (even though my sports teams leave me hanging my head in shame most nights) because it's where I grew up, but in my travels across this great nation, I have seen many wonderful cities that each have their own spice...Why don't you hop on a greyhound or a Winnebago and explore for yourself...See which one you like the best...or if you can't, stay where you are...I'm sure it's just fine!

I'd say Victoria, B.C.
No matter what, don't listen to those people from Toronto! As David Miller once said 'Not only am I the mayor of Toronto, I'm the president of the centre of the universe!'
