If the twelth hole of the Black course at Bethpage State park is at the back of the back tee, there is no tougher hole in my opinion. It is a rediculous par 4. It may be 500 yards and doglegs over a bunker about 270-290 carry. Long approach to a two tier green guarded by two giant bunkers. The wind is usually against you.

the toughest hole i have ever played is a Par 5 at Coto de Caza south course, in a golf match, all i remember was it was LONG and there were bunkers everywere and water on the right side, the fairways were not forgiving. i got lucky and saved par!

Well, the toughest scoring hole on the PGA Tour in 2006 was the 426-yard fifth hole at Poppy Hills, which was nearly a half-stroke over par at 4.492. For now, I'd go with that.

i dont really know because there are so many holes that are considered one of the hardest, but i would have to go with, some hole that has a lot of difficulty and is like the 18th hole, in the end of the tournament with the tournament on the lines, because the pressure really adds a lot to the hole, almost like a phil michelson at the U.S. Open at the 18th hole of Winged foot last year
