It's good to have banana or raisin prior to your exercises. These give you the energies you'll need. Drink plenty of water after your exercises, this helps dehydration.

I usually eat high energy foods (KJ on the back of the pack next to callorie value on store bought items). I usually have a salad for lunch with things like broad beans, tuna, breetroot, broccolli, nuts and seeds, chicken, peas, peppers, sprouts to name a few good options. A good mix of vitamins, fibre and protein.
I don't eat a lot of carbs and find that if I have to many for lunch before training I get really tired or feel to heavy during training. Have some nuts or a banana about an hour before training as well as this is a good source of energy.

They're both great aerobic workouts. They work different muscle groups, though. I do a lot of biking during the year and run a Turkey Trot race on Thanksgiving. Even though I'm in decent shape, my legs are still sore after the Turkey Trot. For overall toning, I would do a bit of each.

You should always feel tired. Means you have worked your body hard.
If you dont feel tired then I suggest working harder haha.
Ensure you drink lots of electrolite drink which contains sugar and salt to top up your bodies levels.
Carbs are fantastic source of energy you want some slow long releasing carbs such as nuts and berrys.
Also consider suppliments as well goto bodyexchange.com and call there camden branch the guy is very helpfull and there may be a suppliment to help.
All the best and work hard

have specific goals. keep a record of your workouts. complex carbs. stretches. warm up and down. lots of water. proteins. rest days. don't get stuck in the same training routine for more than 6 weeks - mix it up.
Everyone is different, so experiment with various combinations to find what works for your body.

after any exercise you should stretch your muscles, drink water, or my son drinks energy drinks, eat fruit, something light, nothing heavy.
Before exercise it is advisable not to eat before you begin, some say do not eat for 30 Min's before exercising, I myself would say an hour. depends on the size of the meal.
