My vet recommended me get my male Min Pin neutered soon. This past Saturday he turned 4 months old. Will getting him neutered this early stunt his growth or hurt him in anyway, or is it good for him?

I have heard of people neutering their dog as early as 4 months. Personally I neutered my lab at 5. I have never heard of it stunting their growth or harming them. If I were you I would hold out until he was at least 5 months olds. Thanks for doing the right thing and having him fixed.

Neutering does not stunt growth. My male doberman was done at 4 months and he weighs in at 100 pounds and stand 30 inches at the shoulder. It did not make him short or change his attitude at all.
It is good for them to be done early as it can help curb some irritationg behaviors like humping everything and if they are done younger they do not mark territory all over the house.
It also lowers their risk of testicular cancer.

around here i have heard of vets doing it as young as 10 weeks i think it depends on the vet..... also the oldest they will do it is 5 years... and even then it is frowned upon call your vet and see when they want to do it...lol thats your best bet if you want to find an answer!!!!!!
