Based on all the questions you've asked so far, I'd say NO. German shepherds are best left to people who are dog experienced and know how to handle a highly intelligent, active, large breed dog.

I HIGHLY agree with answer number one. German Shepherds are not for someone who is ignorant about the breed unless you want a whole lot of problems. You're biggest mistake so far is that color is NOT the first thing you should worry about. When looking at pups you want to research bloodlines and family health history. GSDs have some hereditary health issues (mainly hip problems) If you truly want a GSD wait a little while and learn about the breed. Do alot of research. Not all dogs are the same there are differences between the breeds for a reason. I love German shepherds and they are absolutely wonderful pets, companions and even working dogs if you are prepared and have at least a little knowledge of the breed. If not you could find yourself in trouble or hating your dog or end up with one who has to be put down (hip problems) Please research !!!The internet is full of sources for this The AKC has a great website!! Good luck!!

sure, i dont see why not, german sheperds are great dogs, and the color od the dog doesnt matter. The last time i checked you werent able to show white german sheperds in public shows like Purina or any of that stuff, though some local shows take white germans. But yeah, my mom had a white german sheperd back when she was a teen and working at the humane society. The story about this is quite amazing and may make you want to buy the sheperd even more, if you dont want to hear it, you may skip it. This white sheperd came in one day, all scared and quiet. My mom instantly was attatched to the dog, everyday for a week she would sit with the little girl, who she had found outs name was Angel. She would talk to her and comfort her. But eventually there was no hope for Angel and they were going to put her to sleep, my mom begged to the point where they backed down and gave the dog one more week. My mom managed to lure Angel to the front of the cage, Well my mom was so attatched she begged her parents to let her keep her, they agreed. Well the first week that she had the dog her mom and my mom had a huge fight, so her and Angel went out and they were storming down the streets and a man approached her and asked for directions to a street right in front of them, When she turned around Angel instantly whipped around and began growling adn snapping, when my mom turned around the man was reaching his hand towards her. So Angel was her savior, germans are great dogs, and they are so pretty all white, they really are.

can you support the dog financially? Give it the time and attention that is required for a well trained and socialized dog? Give the proper exercise etc on a daily basis and take care of it for the rest of its life(approx 15 yrs)?
