Yeah, they prayed to the big myth in the sky. Then piled in the Hummer and went for a drive on the other side of town to see how the poor folks were doing.

If you are poor or homeless in the USA. Then thats there choice. My father came to this great country without a
cent and is doing well thank God! The majority of the
homeless people here in America you offer them a job
and they are not interested. I ve seen it so many times.
Or they spent the money that get from begging on
cigarettes or beer. God will help those that are willing
to make an effort to help themselves. Racism will always
exist. Racism has been around since the beginning of
time. Wars will always exist also. Since the beginning of
time also. For the starving children around the world
the organizations that help them the most are the Christian
groups. As for attacking faiths. Christianity has been
persecuted the most. Get your facts straight. One last
thing shut up stop your whining and you too can do
something about it. Why dont you adopt all those starving
children?

What I could on an individual basis.. I wish I had a magic wand and could wipe away all the woes of this world. Do yo have any suggestions on how we could make a bigger dent in the problems than what is and has already been done?

If I encounter a hungry person I feed them. Give what I can. Pray. I think that it will take God coming back to wipe away the greed and pride that is at the root of these problems. Why He allows it I have no idea and it saddens me. There are many organizations and programs but there will never be enough. There is and will always be an uneven distribution of wealth.

Spread love
Walk the talk

First I think your ideas of good and God's are not the same Christians are charitable but it is not some requirement.. Christians are not in the world to make the world better the world is a sinful place and the Bible teachs it will remain so untill Jesus returns. These things will happen and it is according to Christ himself.. What those who may call themselves Christians do is not the responsibility of Christians, making this world a perfect place is not the responsibility of Christians, If you will read the word of God you will find that it is for me to show the truth and to do as Christ himself did he did not end war or protest sin he taught the truth and your free will is to accept that truth and be changed or to believe a lie ...The truth does make the change and if everyone accepted the atonement and were changed the world would be better but the fact is the world will not be perfected until Jesus comes. Christians share the truth.. God changes people.

Jesus said we will always have the poor.

Since we are not God, we can't cure the ills of the Universe, but we can do our best in our little time left on Earth.

We can be kind to all Religions, Races, homeless, jailed, give to charities and friends in need and those driving in front of us going too slow.

We can be kind to friends and non-friends and end gossip and hate. That is what a Christian is all about. God will handle the rest if we work through him. He won't fail and it is nothing to worry about.

Pray for the things you can't control and let go and let God. He made it (us and the world) and he will make it better for sure. His time is not equivalent to our way of time. It will be done. Blessings on you and for your search and frustration on the world's problems.

We cannot cure all the ills of the world. I wish I could, in the name of Jesus= but like Jesus said, "We will always have the poor with us." There are many christian organizations that are working with the poor, in the inner cities and around the world. It is our responsibility to do what we can- but those who are Christians cannot do it all. What have you done?

I help in numerous ways the starving children of this world. But the thing is no matter how much money or foodstuffs we send to these countries their governemnts intervene the food. So what is one to do? Here in America I help many different charities and food banks.

My thing is, why don't churches get taxed so that a portion of the money that is tithed to them can be part of the "tax pool" and be used for public wellness programs? Isn't that the Christian thing to do? I don't understand it sometimes. And, for all the Christian pro-lifers, why not adopt a baby? There are thousands and thousands of children without homes because their parents couldn't take care of them (or for other reasons), yet pro-life Christians insist that all these people have their babies anyway. Well, then adopt one of them, why don't ya?

we do what we can where we can...we start in our own homes, educating our children about problems facing our community, nation, and world-the old slogan 'think globally, act locally' applies-there are countless organizations working to address these problems and we can help with our time, talents, finances, influence...our church is active in trying to provide material things for those who need them (clothing, food, heating fuel, etc) in our own family, we have taken a child of a drug addict into our home since she was a few days old-she is now in school and doing quite well-as for wars, we can petition those in power, and speak out for peace-we need to be active in helping to decide who will be entrusted to represent us in government...as for racism, persecution, and how people of other faiths are treated, that is a battle fought on many fronts-we cannot stand silently by...and we must be the example for others to follow-Christ expected us to be living testimonies to His teaching...for a lot of people, the only bible they will ever read is the lives and behavior of Christians...while we are IN this world, it's our duty to HELP this world...He said 'if you love me, feed my sheep'...and, yes, prayer IS an important part of what we need to do-

At least you recognize that it's not GOD who should be solving these problems, since it's not GOD who caused all these problems.

Jesus said "In as much as you have done it unto the LEAST of these, MY BRETHREN, ye have done it unto ME!"

More churches should use their resources to help those who have need of help. And the best place to start is right in their own families. While it's all well and good to go to places like Mexico, or AFrica, or places like that, there are people RIGHT IN YOUR OWN CONGREGATIONS who need HELP! Find THEM, help THEM. That's a good place to start.
