If you show and prove that you are a very good golfer, you may be scouted while you are on your high school team. From there, if you want to you can play in Junior Invitationals. If you qualify in those, you may be able to become pro. Amateurs are not allowed to win money during tournaments, so in order to have a sponsor, you should be a professional

If you're only in high school and think you're any good, you do not want to do anything that jeopardizes your amature status. Generally speaking, that involves accepting money or commercial sponsorships associated with your play. In certain circumstances, it can also include material gifts (equipment, cars, tickets to concerts or sporting events, etc.). If you lose your amature status, you can't compete in college or in any other amature events.
Your best bet if you're trying to get noticed in high school is to focus on winning your league and any local amature tournaments. That will get you noticed by colleges. Also, it's a lot easier to walk on to college golf teams than other sports like football or basketball.

When it comes to sponsors when your in school. They can do one thing and that is equipment . NO money!!!!!! You don't want to lose your chances of playing in college. Anything under $750.00 dollars is legal it's in the rules book. Your best bet is to play for skins. Skins is gambling.
If your that good schools do watch, just like in football.

Probably not a good idea. If you get a sponsor, then you are considered a professional, so you can't play as an amateur, including college. So not worth it!
