Saturated fats and HFCS are the big two.

Saturated fats are a type of fat that the body finds it very difficult to break down, it sohuld make up a very small percentage of your diet. It can dramatically increase triglycerides (sp?) which are fat sotring cells in your bloodstream, when they become numerous and bloated they can clog arteries and cause heart problems.

HFCS stands for High Fructose Corn Syrup, it is a process that creates a type of sugar that can be put into almost ANY food to give it more taste and sweeter. It is used extensively in manufactured foods, and high concentrations of sugar like substances (because it's not even natural sugar) can cause mood swings, ADD and the prime one is Type II Diabetes, which can take years off your life and lead to blindness.

oh, the hazzards indeed. Same as any restaurant, you never know if the person preparing your food washed their hands after going to the bathroom, or if they have a cold or worse illness, or if they dropped your food on the floor and put it back in the container, or if it got contaminated by touching uncooked chicken blood, or if they are disgruntled and spit in your food, etc. The list is endless. Furthermore, you don't know what ingredients are in there-artificial stuff, fillers, extenders, preservatives, colors made from crushed dead beatles (carmine-red food color) I make everything home made from scratch. I wouldn't trust a stranger with my child, I am certainly not going to trust them to fix what I eat.

I would imagine fat and salt would be higher than desired. And, the usual concerns about hygiene would be present; are the workers washing their hands, are they sneezing on the rotisserie chicken, are they sanitizing the utensils properly, etc.

I prefer my own scratch cooking. Takes some time and planning, but it's less expensive and I know what I'm getting!
