I walk. Life is too short to be bogged down with such nonsense at home. Either the members of the household are working together to build a life and a home that is nurturing and joy to live in or it is not worth it.

I was in a relationship where I received constant mental and physical abuse all the time for many years. Trust me, you dont need it or deserve it. I suggest having him go to counseling or leave him.
At the time I didn't realize how much damage this was doing to me. Now years later, I have PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) becuase of what that worthless bum done to me. I also have chronic GAD. (general anxiety disorder) I will probably alway shave to take medicine for the rest of my life because of him.
Get yourself out of that situation, no matter what it takes to do so.

The best way to deal with mental abuse is to leave the person who is abusing you. You have to completely cut them out of your life or you will always be miserable.

Never accept mental abuse, ever. As for doing things around the house...there should never be "conditions" placed on doing what should be done to keep your house up, anyway.
