Unfortunately, I've had experience with this. The one thing that always tells me is my "gut". It has never steered me wrong. If I felt like something was going on, I was usually right.
Besides, if you are having doubts without confirmation, those are like poison to a relationship. No matter how much information or affirmation you get, it may not make this feeling go away. And that can be the death toll for it all.

I AM WORKING LATE HUNY I WILL BE HOME LATE DONT WIT UP FOR ME ....... that is the classic one...... and when they cancel plans on you at the last minute and when they are talking to someone on the phone while next to you and he's talking sweeter than normal too
