my girlfriend is a somewhat independant girl. She would go off with one of her friends in a heartbeat(i know all her friends) but when i didnt talk to her for a few hours when we were in the same building, she got kinda upset.
I try to give her her space, but i dont want to smother her too. Also, I always have to make the move. I dont think I can remembe when she came to me and hugged me.

Most of the time, these things work themselves out, for better or for worse. Just make sure that you are open with eachother, and that you know how the other feels about different situations. There are always going to be hard times and fights, no matter how good the relationship is. If you are right for eachother, you'll both be willing to talk about it and work through it, no matter what the problem is, and things will work out in the end.

Don't worry buddy. Face it, guys confuse girls, and girls confuse guys. All girls respond to these sort of situations differently. Try to break the mold on your next date, and do something spontaneous! The hugging thing, its not anything you shoud worry about, you can tell she cares if she returns the hug! Stay strong, and be firm with her. Don't seem to clingy, you are intitled to an equal say in your relationship with this girl. I know this may seem awkward, but ask her about it. Maybe thats just how she is, if thats the case don't stress the subject. But there is also the chance she has something on her mind. Listen when she talks. Keep the respect!

Don't leave her like that. Talk when it's necessary, or when you feel like talking with her. If you start smothering her she'll maybe get upset too. Just be yourself and that's it. Don't push the situations. I actually broke with my ex-bf because he was always with me, ALWAYS. Give her a break, but not forget about her if you're in the same party or anything.

There is nothing wrong with being independent but she shouldn't nag you for not calling when she does the same thing. If you want more attention from her then you need to tell her. But if you are an independent minded guy then just let things flow. She'll come to you when she wants you.

Im kinda like your gf that you described. Im somewhat independent, and i let my bf make most of the moves. I think girls in generally are like that, they think the guys are suppose to be the ones that make the moves on them, like hugs, kissing, holding hands, calling, etc. If you feel that you want your gf to make some of the moves, tell her how you feel. If you dont tell her, she's never gonna know that you want her to make moves on you. And its gonna bother you that she wont make moves on you, so tell her!

You're doing good. Give her some time and space, maybe she is getting ready to ask you on a sexval drive with her. I think maybe she is building up mentally for something big in your relationship. Good luck!

i think she's feeling insecure and it's not helping, becuase you're not sure what to do either. it's possible that communication is kind of difficult between you two, so you really need to talk about this stuff. ask her how much space she wants and what kind of attention she wants. maybe she doesn't make the move becuase she's scared. that's typical for a girl :]

You need to talk to her and tell her what you typed up and she can help you in her initating the hugs, maybe she is a little shy in that area, and ask her how mush space to give her.

It sounds like she is not showing that she love you so don't make the move. Also is she really indepenent or dont want to be around you

ok if she's like that talk to her about it and if she's doing it on porpose then maybe you can fix things but if she is then forget her if your really fine and cool then you'll find someone else well actually even if your not fine and cool then you can still find someone!
