I have a 1 ton truck with a dual wheel trailer that I use to haul my work tools and equipment and supplies to my job sites. Does this truck and trailer require registation with DOT? How about my dual wheel boat railer, I use the same truck to pull it?

All vehicles on a highway must be registered. Farm vehicles that do not travel on roads do not.

I do not believe you have to register with DOT, however, there are DOT regulations regarding trailer hitches and the way they are used, you might want to get a copy of the rules/regs, it's free and if you have further need, the info will be there.

No you do not. Your vehicle and trailer combined do not exceed the 10,001 gross vehicle rating requirement.
