For parachutes and kites mostly ripstop nylon, you can tell that from the normal type by the small raised square pattern. Aircraft coverings are mostly high end polyester variants, not polyester like shirts, DuPont Dacron is probably the best known. I first came across that as fishing line.

kites are made out of paper similar to newspaper

gliders are made out of a thin cloth with a light coat of paint.

parachutes are made of nylon.

Nylon! There are different coatings and treatments, but they all use nylon pretty much.
