The bible has been reprinted thousands of times but it stayed relatively the same through out the few thousand years of reprinting, what other proof do you want

The Old Testament was written because God wanted His Word to go into all the world. God wanted man to know Him.
Israel was God's example to the world. The animal blood sacrifice had to be the forerunner of the ultimate blood sacrifice of God's Son Jesus Christ. Angels have no blood and therefore did not understand the life of the blood. God kept this from the angels because He knew Satan's plot.

God had Moses write His Story for His humans.

Before Judaism there was Zoroastrianism. The Zoroastrians laid the foundations of Judaism, Islam , Christianity and Bahai religions. Hense the Old Testament has content that is from Zoroastrianism. The Garden of Eden, Adam and Eve, these were first Zoroastrian teachings!

You have to go back and study this part of the world and the movements of population and so on. Judaism evolved out of a time and place.

I personally believe that all religions smack of a little human fantasy, but that is my opinion. These old texts are a mix of historical documentation and mythic belief. The documentation is subjective and serves those beliefs.

Study the Torah if you want insight into the Old Testament. That is the only way you could really understand what you have just asked. The Old Testament was taken from Jewish history by Christians and has been interpreted and translated over and over again by Christians. How accurate can it be?

I would say your statement is false. Based on history and the phrasing of your question which almost sounds like you are implying that this 'creation' of the Old Testiment was a relativly contemporary Jewish idea. The Old Testiment was created by Christians to verify Christianities historical roots based on the lineage of Jesus both as a Jewish (Christian) man and as son of God and the Christ.

There is a massive difference between the birth of a religion and a colonialsit state!

The Jewish religion began as a religion, it even took converts and was somewhat evangelical! The Jewish state or prior sense of nationhood evolved as such.

Also I think that shows a degree of fear on your part snubbing the atheists. They are what keeps you guys honest!...well I like to think it helps a bit anyway.

It may very well be true. However, we can disregard that there is a Creator Who is our Lord.

I believe that there are true scriptures, but they did add a lot to it. There are those that would say, you can't change the Bible; however, the Bible is being change little by little so that people don't notice it to convenience societies desires.
