So, I have this 1 inch blister on teh side of my heel from my work shoes and a long day. My running shoes do not hurt it, but it did get bigger from my workout today. i don't want to break it while out on a run, so whaddya think? I know the proper technique for breaking it, but should I just leave it be?

You might want to consider buying new work shoes so they don't affect your running! Don't pop the blister. Just tape it up so it won't get aggravated anymore. It will go away on its own eventually. It will hurt a lot if you pop it, so definitely leave it alone.

Pop it and use the tissue and tape idea. And some different socks or work shoes. Take a look at the shoes and see if you can see or feel anything that would have caused the blister. And while lounging at home let it get some air. It might take about a week for it to get better so try the tissues and tape. Good luck Turtle....

You need to cover the blister so that no more friction occurs. A bandaid that's big enough will work otherwise make a bandage with some tissue and tape. Whenever I begin to get a blister I use a bandaid and it has always stopped it from getting larger. Good luck!

I would pop the blister and let it drain, as this is the best way for it to heal. While at home, keep your shoes and socks off so it can air out and heal. While training, wear 2 pairs of socks because it will help reduce the friction between your foot and shoe.

Tissue and duct tape.

Or if you want to get fancy, get the Blister Band Aids (by Band Aid) from the drug store.

Also, use padded socks in your work shoes. Nike makes a great pair, but they are $12.

Stick a needle in one end of it, then squeeze the liquid out. To be sure there is no infection, find a neighborhood doggie to lick it for you. That is better than alcohol!!!

Too bad you don't know Sabby the Wonderdog®. He is so compassionate with strangers.

He's a wonderdoggie, yes he is, oh yes he is. I wuvs my doggie doggie. Good boy...good boy....You wanna Milkbone, Buddy? Sure you do...good old doggie o' mine!

I would pop it and treat it. It will hurt a bit more but it will be gone faster.

cover it with moleskin!
