I am pretty good looking and extremely outgoing.I like to flirt.I sometimes call women I first meet dear or hun or sweetie if the conversation is going well. Some other times I'll just smile and say "thanks dear" to a waitress after taking my order or a "thanks sweetie" to a cashier girl after giving me back change.Does it offend you?

I think "hon" is OK. "Dear" makes the cut, too. But, "Sweetie" is a little over the top. It's too personal or condescending, like you're talking to a child.

The other thing is delivery. If you say it with a general tone, light tone or a fun tone, I think it is OK. If you say it sort of serious or very familiar, it ends up being creepy.

Also, who are you saying it to? If you're 45 and the waitress is cute and 19 it can come off as creepy if you use the wrong tone.

Yeah, it would offend me....... Now if I had waited on you a few times and I remember who you are it may not bother me as much. I guess it depends on the girl.

Also if you are an older man, (like in your 70's or up) I think it is cute. Don't ask why, I just do.

not really, there is a way and a tone to say it also tho, if it is meant sexually then we can tell and may be offended.
