Popcorn is a particular type of corn. Not all corn will pop--it has to be literally "popping corn".
There are a lot of farms around here that grow it--all you have to do is let the cobs dry out, then take the kernels off & pop them.
You can also put the whole cob in a paper bag and pop it in the microwave!

Popcorn is a type of corn. It is grown like any other corn and is grown on stalks. It is a farm product and it is grown by companies or sold in bulk to those companies. You can actually grow your own popcorn. Be prepared for a long and somewhat painful process though to get it from the seed corn to the bowl.
I can remember my parents growing our popcorn and didn't realize that you could get it off the cob in the store until I was about 10 or so.
You can buy the seeds to grow your own at most garden centers or from a seed catalog.

If you want to make it with seeds, you will need one of those popcorn poppers they had a long time ago. You can buy them at any outlet such as Walmart, Kmart or Sears.
