I can't go to the doctor.
Even if your not a medical genius...if you've ever had it please answer.
It's soooooo bugging me.
It's just one eye, and when I woke up this morning it was swollen shut!
Should I stay home tomorrow?

You eye is really infected if it was swollen shut and it needs antibiotics to clear up. There is no way to get rid of it without seeing the doc for antibiotics. If you go get antibiotic meds or ointment NOW then you would not really need to stay home tomorrow. The sooner you get it treated the faster it will clear up.

Pink eye is incredibly contagious. I certinly WOULD stay ome tommorrow, since, even if you started antibiotics tonight, you could still be contagious and I wouldn't risk infecting someone else.
Go to the docs. It's the ONLY way to clear this up and it could affect your eye sight. It will go to into the other eye and both of them will be effected by this. Please get help asap.

It depends on whether it is bacterial conjunctivitis or not. If it's viral then it will go away on it's own after a few days. If it is bacterial then it will not go away on it's own and you will require an ointment with an antibiotic in it.
It can be highly contagious so I suggest you stay home tomorrow if your symptoms are still present.

Warm compresses will help.... CLEAN wash cloth preferably cotton ... warm to your eye several times today and tonight should help.... do go to the doctor if it doesn't get better .. really don't want to mess around with eye infections.... wash your hands before doing this... and don't press down or rub the eye or ... toward the eye....

Try Visine red eye formula. I get red eyes once in a while and visine always works for me.

generally treated with antibiotics but guess could try pinkeye.com or homeremedies.com.......yeah - only contagious!
