It's possible that it may come and go. Sometimes a blockage may move out of the opening of the appendix and the inflammation may go down. Some surgeons feel there can be recurrent inflammation that exacerbates then wanes.

If you're having recurring pain in your lower right side, and you're pretty sure it's not constipation or gas, make an appointment and let your doc check you out, draw some labs, etc..

I remember, when I was young, being diagnosed with appendicitis. I think it was the thought of surgery that made me recover rather sharpish. However, it wasn't the appendix playing up in my case. The following is cut'n'pasted from the link below. "Another clue is that the pain associated with appendicitis doesn't come and go; it continues to get steadily worse." You'll find it in the fifth paragraph down. All the best.

an inflammed appendix, once it begins to hurt will generally hurt badly enough to drive anyone into a hospital. Pain that comes and goes in that area is usually something else.

You mean PAIN? It can---or it could be something else. You should go to the doctor to find out what it is so you can get the correct treatment.
