First, sorry you have people talking to you that way. My advice there would be to stay away from those people if at all possible and report them if you truly are fearful. Second, funerals are for the people left behind. It is done so that people can say good-bye, mourn with others and so on.

If 1 in 4 people suffer from some form of mental illness, then does that mean that 3 out of 4 people will give a thumbs down to agreeing on a question, do people who commit suicide deserve a funeral? How ignorant. Unless you have ever suffered yourself from severe depression or any other form of mental illness then how the heck can you possibly even have a say on that question. How opinionated is this society.

The cause of death doesn't matter all should have a funeral, that way others may have a chance to say goodbye, since it was a suicide it may seem more sad, or perhaps wrong to have a funeral, but everyone deserves a final goodbye.

Anyone depressed enough to commit suicide certainly deserves a funeral. Why would you think otherwise. It's friends like you that drive them to suicide.
If you have been in "many situations" where people have threatened to kill you, you need to change your life style. You don't sound like a very nice person just an immature one.

If you commit suicide you most certainly do deserve a funeral. Just because you died by suicide doesn't mean you not a good human being.

1st of all - maybe you should stay away from these people
2nd of all - your details have nothing to do with your question
3rd of all - I think the police and forensics can uncover the truth even with the "false" witnesses
and last of all - everyone deserves a funeral, not necessarily for the deceased, but for the living so they can have closure.

I had a friend who's brother was way in debt and tried to commit suicide. A cry for help that is. My friend called me in a panic and said that her brother was trying to kill himself. He has pills in his hands and drank wine with it. I told her to go call her mom. Her mother called the police and close the bingo hall in a flash. He lives to this day. He thanks me for telling his sister to call his mom and have him sent to the hospital. (True story)
Other friend of mine tried to commit suidice by going over the balcony. Had it not been for her brother's g/f she'd be dead.
My answer is this :
They're human and deserves a funeral.
