But you have a computer and Internet access?
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.
Ok, so why haven't you gone to the department of social services in this county you're in in Southern California? Even a homeless shelter?

First of all I would like to respond to the person who indicated that because you have internet access, that you were full of it: I live in southern california and there are libraries all over that are open on sundays and have internet access. Free. It is entirely possible, and very likely that the person asking is telling the truth.
Now, for the asker, look in the front pages of any phone book for community services. Ask the library for any listings they may have for community services. Find any thing that sounds remotely close to what situation you are in, and go there or call. If they cannot give you the help you need, ask who can.
If you happen to be in Riverside County, here is a number to "Substance Abuse Program - Riverside County" - 951-791-3350 And the detox hotline number is: 800-499-3008.
Call them, and even if you are not in this area, they can possibly direct you to the place where you can get help in your area.
Good luck and I have just said a prayer for you and I will continue to keep you in my prayers.

Several people have given you resources - use your library or whatever you have to call county services in your area. Most counties have resources for the homeless and for people who are addicted to drugs. When you get through to someone in the county, ask for all the resources that may be available to you. Then, look for healthy things that light you up. What did you used to love to do - before things got ugly? Did you draw, or dance, or sing, or read, or have a favorite pet, etc. Reconnect with the healthy you that wrote this question.
If you're near Culver City, try going to Agape. Here's the website:
http://www.agapelive.com/index.php?anchor=about
They are very inspiring, and completely non-judgmental.
In my experience, the people who get through hardships are the ones who absolutely refuse to quit.
Good luck.

You have taken a great step in wanting to change your life around. Could you get yourself into a rehab perhaps, and once you are clean they may be able to assist you with housing.
