Sounds like the tank isn't fully screwed in. Sometimes it can appear to be all the way in but not. This is going to be the most common cause for what you describe.

Knowing what type of marker you have, whether it hisses when gas fills the marker after screwing in the tank, whether you are using HPA or CO2, and whether you are using an On/Off system.... these will all help answer your question.

ok, you need to check a few things.

If you took apart your gun- then you put the main bolt upside down.

If you didnt screw your tank in all the way.

Raising the velocity to the max could break paint....it will stop the gun from firing.

If this doesnt work, then bring it to you local paintball place. They should fix it at a low cost, if there even is a problem.

You may have busted an O ring since you turned up your velocity. If you are a begginer the best thing for you to do is take it to a local paintball shop and have them look at it. If not look at your manual it should give you a basic break down of your gun. Then it's just basicly checking the O rings one by one. I would start at the bolt and reg.
