Place it on the side where the patient can best grab it, if they're able. That way they can help. If they aren't able to help, get a transfer board and place the wheelchair on the side where YOU are most comfortable. I'm right handed so I place the chair on the left side so I can push off my stronger right leg and arm. :)

put the wheel chair facing the head of the bed with the patient's strong side next to the bed. So if the patient is stronger on the right side, put the wheelchair on the left side of the bed.

It depends on the patient. Have they had a stroke, do they have weakness on one side or the other? If yes you put the wheelchair on the weak side of the pateint. The chair would go to the side between the bed and the weak side of the patient. Then you can piviot the patient into the bed with the help of their good side (leg) .

Which ever side gives you the most room to work with the patient. That's usually the side closes to the door.

The same side as thier strongest side of their body. If the right is weak, put it too the left you always wanna place it so you drag the bad and use the good right next to the chair.

Whatever side is more comfortable. I used to put it to the patients right side so I would pivot left. As I am left handed. Make sure you have support so you don't hurt them.

The right side is usually the favored side, but it really depends on the strength of the person(s) doing the lifting.
