My suggestion would be to get a dog from the pound. They need homes more than anything and you can find the perfect dog for your lifestyle by the personality and energy, not just by the breed. They are cheaper to by as well, and usually are already fixed. If they aren't they will just charge you an extra $20 for it. Please check with you local ASPCA or Shelter to find a dog, not a pet store or breeder. These dogs need homes more than anything! If you don't take that advice, at least get them fixed so you don't contribute to the overpopulation of unwanted animals. Good luck with your new dog!!

I don't think beagles are very good apartment dogs. They are a fairly high energy dog likes to have something to do. They like to run and and track. When bored, they seem to dig. (ours did, right down to the springs in the couch) If they get lonely, they may howl for a bit. On the plus side they do have fur.

u can always call the local animal shelter , like the SPCA and tell them what u are looking for, they can advise u what would be best and they may even have a compatible puppy there for u to adopt
