Don't believe the hype about Ali being the best of all time.
Sugar Ray Robinson. We can all argue about who else is in the top ten, but Robinson tops the list.

Floyd Mayweather Jr would be the best right now. Muhammad Ali and Sugar Ray Robinson would be the 2 best of all time. Muhammad Ali was able to bounce back from most of his losses and he cleaned up the heavyweight division at its best and did it three times. Sugar Ray Robinson was so great i don't even know where to begin. He went 85-0 during his ameture career, then 40 something fights before his first professional loss, then after his first professional loss he had 95 more fights without a loss. If that aint great i don't know what is and Ray Robinson took on everybody and never ducked no one just as Ali.

If Floyd Mayweather Jr, wasnt a better track star; hed get my vote. However, he is a track star so my choice for best boxer is Muhammad Ali. He gave and took, and made boxing into an art. There are three types of boxers: the brawler, the boxer and the runner. Floyd Jr. is the runner, there are fights where you can literally see him running to avoid confrontation in contrast Muhammad Ali, bounced, stayed infront of his opponent, DIDN'T avoid confrontation and all his shots were clean visable shots that you had to score for him. Ali, is lb4lb the greatest!

I think the upcoming Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Oscar De La Hoya bout should determine pound for pound supremacy in todays era. Now the best of all time is without a doubt Ali.

Manny Pacquiao!!! His combination of excellent hand speed, knock-out power in both hands, and the physical conditioning to sustain both speed and power continuously throughout 12 rounds is something very few boxers ever had. And he's not yet even at his peak!!!
GO PACMAN!!!
