Check out this website for information on keeping Hawaii rabies free but cutting down on the required quarantine time. There is a five step program that you'll have to follow to the letter in order to cut down the quarantine time.

I was under the impression that all pets coming to Hawaii will be quarantined. Use the link above. It does look as though some pets can qualify for a shorter, 5 day quarantine. Good luck to you...it's a big move...for you and your pet(s).

You better get on it - We went through the ordeal to take our cats out of the country. Among a bunch of other things, The biggie is the blood test you Have to Have 6 months before you try to take the animal out. It is 6 months before and then they do it again right before you leave to see without question if the animal has any diseases or parasites. You have to contact a vet who is familiar with the plan. We went through the "P.E.T.S." plan. This is a very involved process. Do it now.
