Just make sure that Vista has drivers for your sound card.

From what I read on Yahoo's site, they are coming up with a new client that will work on Vista. At this time from what I understand, there are many if not all vista users that have problems with sound in Yahoo Messenger. I don't remember the exact URL for the site but Yahoo has posted a link if you look on the right hand side of they Yahoo Messenger website.
In other words, it's not Vista per se but Yahoo's current version of YM running on Vista and it's not you.

No, of course not.
Some are having problems getting it to work along with tons of other issues but it can be fixed.
I think it would be smart to avoid Vista until it has had a few months to be debugged.
