my friend was screwing with my videos and turn them into Xvid's saying it was a better file. i dont know the difference but i wanted to burn the videos to a DVD, and i got a copy of software that converts xvid to the whole dvd file. like the audio and video folders. all i need to know is how to get those on a dvd and watch them?

just use a program like WinAVI to convert to dvd format, or you can even use Nero Vision Xpress to convert as long as you have the DivX codec (which is free).

Then just use a normal burner, or if you use Nero it will burn it too.

If it has converted your video files into audio and video folders, just burn them...

but if you want to make DVD menus for your DVD, you'll need to buy a special program like Nero Vison Express. There might be a free program, but NVE is the easiest DVD program that makes menus that I know of.

download the xvid converting software. you can find it for free online - i did. forgot where tho, but just search for it here on yahoo and download it. this can give you the option to burn it to dvd.
