Put the mixture into a ziplock type food storage bag and cut one of the botton corners off and squeeze it in. Cheap and easy.

Use softened lasagne leaves, spread the mixture on and roll up. Place overlap side down in your gratin dish. Alternatively use an icing bag with a large nozzle.

Use a cake decorating bag, or a piping bag fitted with the widest nozzle you have. Be sure to squeeze from the end, otherwise your filling will squirt out of the bag.

this might sound silly but it works!
i like my cannelloni filled wit salsa bolognese!so,i prepare the sauce a day before & freeze it in a 1 inch high container! next day when am ready to do the fillin, i get the frozen mixture out & cut it in slices the width of the cannelloni!its,easier,less messier & it will all defrost & bake well in the oven!give it a try & let me know...

do you have a pastry bag??? or you can put your filling in a ziplock bag and cut a whole in the corner and carefully sqeeze into tubes. Or make triangles with some parchment paper...

A bag that holds frosting, used to decorate cakes would work just fine & would be a lot faster. I'm not sure where they can be purchased but try Wal*Mart, etc.
