Definitely normal, I broke up with my boyfriend almost 3 weeks ago, I lost my apetite totally for about 2 weeks... however I have managed to get over it very quickly by reading "how to mend a broken heart" by Christine Webber, highly recommend you buy a copy, you'll feel better sooner if you do!!! Hope it helps, its a horrible feeling and nothing anyone says can help you but I totally understand how you feel... its only 3 weeks but as I say, the book will help you, I was crying for hours at a time, since I got the book I have not cried once....!!
Good luck x

If it is just for a day or two - then yes it is normal. But if it goes on too long you need to see your doctor. Hard as it may seem when you break up - and it is not of your choosing - these things work out for the best. You do not know what or who is around the next corner, you will want to go out and about again soon. You will need to be fit and well to have some fun. so take some time out, grieve for what you have lost, and then go forward.

it's normal. not eating is common whenever anything that makes you feel crap or anxious happens in life. and as for how long it lasts, well depends on the person. When you start getting on with your life and thinking less about the person you broke up with, things will get back to normal. Go out with your friends and get into new things and you'll be back to normal before you know it.

Yes sit is normal, but not healthy. try to eat and take vitamins and drink healthy things. I know it's hard but, the sun WILL shine again in a week or 2. Try going to luch with a girlfriend or a couple of pals.

It's perfectly normal - you're grieving. It'll not last long though. If you can't face eating, try drinking slimfast instead (not that I'm implying anything, don't get me wrong!!!) as it's full of vitamins and minerals to keep your strength up and the strawberry one tastes really nice too.
Good luck xxx

I lost my appetite after splitting with my boyfriend and lost about a stone, I'm now back to eating normally and feel more confident with the weight loss!! Do try and eat though as it will only make you feel worse if you don't. :o)

Yes it is totally normal, it's all psychological. Once you have moved on and accepted what has happened with your relationship things should go back to normal. I cannot give you a time frame, everyone is different. You will be fine.
