sprituality and religion to post your opinion? I am asking this question but I know the answer. You atheists waste your time here aswering questions about spirituality and religion, because you are looking for answers to your own questions. You know, deep inside that there is a God, or something to believe, you just dont know what it is and you come here looking for someone to convince you.

After seing some of the answers, I can sense some indignation towards me. I am not the one who holds the truth about anything. I believe in God and in Jesus, but I don't follow the Bible. I am Spiritist, I believe that we are all equal and we are all going to the same place after this life, but not trying to convince anyone. Just put your weapons down, will you? Peace!

1. If you already know the answer to your question, then why ask it?

2. Just because atheist do not believe in a religion doesnt mean they don't know anything about religion.

3. Also this is Yahoo Q&A.. meaning people asking questions for ANYONE to answer.

4. Just because atheist do are here, doesnt mean they are trying to be convinced of whatever it is, you think..

5. Atheist do not believe in god so they can NOT "know deep inside" there is a god.

6. Atheist on here have a more open mind and actually have better answers then most christians on here.

7. Seems you might be a little upset because they have a better insight on things then you do. and are not so close minded and think they are always right like you...

I'm in "All Answers". I see about a hundred questions a day addressed to atheists specifically. Every once in a while, I'll see the type of question that's open for anyone to answer, and if I think it's an interesting question, I'll answer it. I usually don't go to the questions that are addressed to "Christians" specifically, or to some other religion specifically.
Either way, atheists have just as much a right to be here as anyone. It's an open forum.
And that last statement about atheists really believing in God is an ignorant statement that Christians like to make to each other so they can pat themselves on the back and feel superior. It's not accurate at all. Nice try, though.

Actually you have the wrong answer, sorry.
I think of this as a place to discuss religion. Not as a place to praise somebodies God(s).
I would like people to be able to ask or answer questions about how religion works. Why it works like it does. What use it is or what can be done about it.
I certainly have no desire to find something that I don't believe exists.

I do wish the Bible Believers would quit walking all over everybody elses questions. I can not blame the secularists for hitting back at the fanatic Zealots. Having ignorant people who don't even know *how* the bible came to be *The Bible* trying to bully everybody else gets very tiring.

By the way, I love your presumption that you know what atheists think.

Edit: J. C. Reddings link just proves that he has no ability to detect sarcasm, great answer by the Right Reverend Red Mage!

Actually, I scan all open questions. Many are directed toward atheists.
That's why.
Also, the fact that you think you have any idea what I, or any other atheist is thinking graphically demonstrates the extent of the brainwashing religion has done to you.
There is no possible way to 'convince' me.
Religion is a fairy- tale for those with low intellect and lack of strength, to see and face reality.
How someone can honestly believe in a myth, while mentally blocking out all of the lies, contradictions, and impossibilities, is mind-blowing.

Wow. Is searching for answers and reflecting opinions and thoughts off of others a sign of atheists being weak? I have a hard time accepting that. If your so convinced there is a god, why do you waste your time posting for an audience that may not believe in it and not more time adulating your god? Does god, in it's infinite wisdom like baiters? I could only assume not. But way to go...

True there are things we dont know about and can never know about, otherwise wed all be ******* clever and know answers to everything. such as does the universe ever end it has to but it cant as what is supporting the ends such as a room has 6 sides these can be the edges of the universe but theres a world beyond the walls. God may exist but not in the form as people think 'BANG fire' BANG' light and if god is all loving he cant have created the devil so who did. I believe god is just a creation made to keep control of people through fear and as a money making scheme as the cathoic church is one of the richest organisations yet there is still suffering in 3rd worlds. i live a good life im generous and halpful. so if there is a god fine but he allows free will and so cant send me to hell for using my free will

I come here simply because I can. This is an open forum to the whole public. And everybody has something to say when it comes to the subject of religion. I also find the subject of religion interesting. But I see that some believers feel that non Christians and non religious people such as myself should know our places. I don't think so. You know what you aren't as nice as Pangel. You call yourself a Spiritualist but you show nothing but hatred towards some of the people who come here.

nope, that's not it...try again. i never go to the religion catagory...i just click on answers and here you are. you're pretty arrogant and self-righteous to think you know about everyone and what they believe...i'm native american, i will not believe in any "religion" that didn't originate on my continent. it's as simple as that. don't you know of the horrendous violence done against indiginous people all over the world, by supposed men of god? there's nothing in the world you can do to convince me that the bible is true, or jc was a savior, etc. it's not in my frame of reference. you need to open your mind and quit wasting your own time trying to convince people of your beliefs...especially since it's suppose to come from a place of love for your fellow man, and the majority of the ppl i hear preaching, are arrogant, ignorant know-it-alls who seem to be full of anger and hostility.

What an arrogant, ignorant attitude.

There are many reasons I come here. Including questions on the main page that start out: For atheists....

But what I've learned most is how deeply narrow-minded and inconsiderate Christians can be in the name of 'love.'

You are deeply wrong in your thinking. If you actually read any of our answers, you'd know that.

lol the drinking begins!!

Kudos to you for redundancy and for not bothering to see that this is THE most asked question in R&S.

Atheists can be spiritual.. what you don't seem to be able to grasp is that someone can have a spiritual life without your particular box-brand of God.

Are you saying you have some kind of psychic ability that you can read the thoughts of an atheist? that would be witchcraft according to your bible.. you'd better repent post-haste!

You are not the R&S police.. it's an open public forum where ANYONE is welcome (even hateful people like you) to come and share their thoughts and ask questions.

To those christians who wonder why the atheists attack them.. here's your sign.
