You probably believe that only your demonination is the one that's correct, that it's the way to heaven...this is a very common thing among christians...and so if you feel your group is the one with the correct view and has the right plan of salvation-CAN YOU PLEASE tell me the name of your demonination and why you think its the correct one, in a paragraph or two?
This is gonna be fun.

I don't belong to any denomination.

I believe that there is a Creator that made us for the purpose of being able to choose the kind of person we want to be. While I believe the things I have learn through my life so far, I can't honestly say that I know I am right. I am willing to change what I currently believe if I think I have good reason. Therefor, I can't say that I have the "one correct belief," just that to the best of my knowledge so far, this is what I think is right.

For a christian, belief should be based on the bible - otherwise, why claim to be a christian?
And according to the Bible, the only way to God (the Father) is through Jesus Christ. It doesn't matter if we do or don't like what the Bible says - if that is the foundation for our belief, then we must adhere to all of it.
Too many "christians" want to ignore or refuse to accept the parts of the Bible that they don't agree with.
There is no one denomination that is more righteous than another.
Salvation is based on an individual's relationship with God, based on the truth of scripture.

I guess Im Pentecostal. We FIRMLY believe in the message or sermon being preached as being taken directly from the Word of GOD, meaning that we focus strongly on the Holy and INERRANT & INSPIRED WORD OF OUR HOLY GOD.

We also emphasize the gifts of the spirit, which means that from time to time the Lord will relay a message to the congregation thru the gift of speaking in tongues. The speaker does NOT know what they have said. Then moments after, an INTERPRETER will stand and relay to the congregation exactly what was spoken in tongues. This is bone chilling awesome, bc you learn from one church to another whether the folks are fake, and whether the Spirit of the LIVING GOD just spoke!
Most Pentecostal churches do not hold back in praising GOD with the lifting of hands and dancing in place. Its something that one has to discern thru the Holy Spirit too, as it is with tongues and interpretation~as there are all sorts of demonic workings where folks will flop around in seizure-like fits and bark like animals...these things are unscriptural and are demonic. That is why it is very important to make sure you are in the right church by having a personal relationship with Jesus thru your own private devotions ( simply put: a set aside time each day that you are alone with the LORD, where you sacrifice that hour or so of your TIME to be with HIM, in prayer, in personal worship, in study of His WORD). The Holy Spirit will never betray us; and we will soon enough learn to decifer which is OF GOD and which churches are occultic.
AND IN CONCLUSION....someone else said it perfect, they said that as long as we all believe that JESUS CHRIST IS LORD, it does not really matter our denomination! BUT!~~~I can be almost 100% sure that GOD NEVER INTENDED these denominations to exist, as in the WORD it is preached NUMEROUS TIMES about the UNITY IN THE SPIRIT! All of this division makes us turn on one another, and forget that we all believe in JESUS, which in turn makes the unbelieving world around us think we are IDIOTS; like they so obviously do think such!

GOD BLESS YOU!

The Bible calls those in Berea "noble" because they recieved the word eagerly and then searched the scriptures daily to see if it was true. (Acts 17:11)

I am a member of the church of Christ. I search the scriptures daily to see if the things we teach and practice are true.

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

We have no need for a man-made creed or any book of authority in addition to the Bible. Our plea is to leave behind all doctrines of men and simply return to the Bible. There is not one man-made doctrine we can add that will improve the Word of God!

It's by no means universal. Many denominations have at least some sense of ecumenism. The Methodist church that I was brought up in, as well as other mainstream churches, believe that Christianity, as opposed to their particular denomination, is the path to heaven. They may even believe that there are non-Christian paths to heaven.

I believe that the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus, and I happen to go to a church with a denomination, which has its faults like all the others. As long as the church knows the Truth of the Bible, then its all good....

I don't have a denomination. I attend an independent evangelical church.

The plan of salvation is clearly spelled out in the New Testament. No man-made pattern or outline will do it.

I go to an A/G church, but we know that all other denominations will go to heaven if they get saved. The only true difference is that we each have interpretations of the bible.

I don't think my religion is correct, I KNOW it is correct. I am Mormon, or a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. This website will really explain to you our basic beliefs.

I belong to the Orthodox Church. I don't believe that my denomination is the only one that is correct.
