Your question, above, is one of the reasons I so admire those who walk away from the religions of sins, demons, Hell, and shouters. They have overcome fear and false guilt.
To be free to study and seek all knowledge, without threat, is the greatest gift.

I answered your 2nd question first now I read the first one
Like the others who answered
I think you are a Christian
Understanding the freedom
of forgiveness and unconditional love is so beautiful
I don't get it when others don't get it.
It's like the work of the Devil accuser I think it is bizarre
Its like you do something evil, and then feel guilty
what stupidity
we are all evil doers but loved and forgiven you move forward in freedom and those who don't know that freedom think you are some kind of hypocrite but I realize that I am free to do EVERYTHING
WITHOUT GUILT OR CONDEMNATION
And I HAVE
Loving every minute of it
Abundant Life baby
Is this what you mean?
The atheists I know are always worry about sin and how much etc they have or don't have etc.
Me I glad I'm a sinner
I am forgiven have NO SHAME OR GUILT!
RIGHT?
You mock the atheist and Non-Christians
funny.......
but not nice the lost should be found AND above all else
LOVED!
PEACE Man...
and lay off the Atheists and Non-Christians they have to carry their own burdens
Not like US!

Christianity is not oppressive in this manner, it brings me no fear, guilt or shame. I have absolute freedom.
Fear, guilt and shame come from man imposed views on what behaviour should be. I've found that oppression comes from man's rules, not from following the creator.
Jesus nailed the oppressors in his day. For this, he was nailed to a cross.

You couldn't be more mistaken if you worked overtime at it. It's those of us who have been freed from our sins through the shed blood of Jesus who are filled with joy and peace.
Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
We're free because we know that we have a way to deal with our sins and mistakes by confessing them to the Father. We don't need to spend thousands of dollars on therapy and analysis like those who have nowhere to turn with their guilt and shame.
1 John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.
So don't worry about us Christians. We know where the real freedom is and in Whom it is found.
John 8:36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.

I'm afraid you have the wrong take on Atheists and non-Christians. I'm sure there are just as many of us living in guilt and fear and shame of something as Christians. I know a lot of Christians but I know of none living in guilt of fear and shame. I think you are being just a little silly.

I still have to deal with guilt and shame. But only when I actually have done something wrong. Rather than when I have 'sinned' against some superstition.

I lived most of my life feeling hopelessly headed towards fire and brimstone having been told that no matter what I did, I was going to hell.
After realizing that it was all a pack of lies and coming to grips with that, I have never felt more free and happy in my life.
Now the christians will say we're reveling in our sin, but I still put forth that we are just as moral, if not more moral, than most so-called christians. We just don't need religious dogma to do the right thing.
Living life and enjoying it realizing it's the only one I have feels wonderful.

It truly is. The God I believe in is not a God of fear, oppression and punishment. I can't imagine such a life.

Very definitely adamantly YES.
I was raised in the church, so dear Christians, at least consider for 30 seconds that I might have an experienced and knowledgeable perspective before you thumb me down.
